I just started learning Japanese the other day for fun, and my cousin is joining me. I was wondering if anyone wanted to join as well! We're using a website/app called Duolingo. It only takes maybe 10 minutes a day (depending on how long you want to spend). Of course you can take more time if you like. There's also a friends feature so you can keep track of progress with friends that have joined you! I figure the more people learning together, the better, as it'll push everyone forward. They have lots of other languages too, and overall it's just really easy and fun. I'm really enjoying it and really excited to learn a new language.

I just downloaded it, but I'll be doing Korean! I have tried Japanese at uni for two semesters, but because I barely read or hear the language at all, it was super difficult for me.
I can read Korean already, so I did the placement test. I lack vocabulary though, so they have me start at the very basics again My username is SaltySanna Don't know if that's of any use if I'm not doing the same language though. But I guess, we can still add each other!

That's so cool! I watch anime and it's really cool to be able to hear syllables instead of gibberish, and I can even make out a couple of words!
I read a lot of Korean (I would like to say that it's something work related, but, um... I'm just K-Pop trash tbh LOL), so somehow the alphabet stuck with me *so* much better than the Japanese one(s). I personally think Korean is much easier than Japanese in general though. I gave up when we started Kanji at uni.
I am currently at Alphabet 2. I'll try to power through these ones today~

Ooh, I actually have Duolingo myself :-D I might have to make a new account on there though because I may have forgotten the pass and username... lol good thing I hadn't gotten on it much to make a lot of progress. I'll post back on this thread once I've made a new one!
I'll be doing both Korean and Japanese. Since I started learning Japanese via other resources a few years ago, I don't wanna give up on it. And I wanna learn Korean cause *cough* I'm too into K-Pop to NOT learn the language haha.
But yeah, I'll tell you what my username is so you can friend (? idk if that's what you do) me on it
Ｔｉｌｄｅ: And I do do that. I've seen it happen to other people as well.

Willow Deerblanket: The only thing I have to say, if it happens in game, block and report and be gone with their negativity. =w=

Ｔｉｌｄｅ: And I know that they're working on the game, but it's too slow. They know it's a problem. I've heard from someone from the team (I think it was on the soul riders podcast, it might have been Stacy) that they know that's a problem. The game is almost 8, and

Ｔｉｌｄｅ: we've only been on Jorvik for 2 months (in the story)

Ｔｉｌｄｅ: Unfortunately I can't, since it mostly happens on IG :')

Willow Deerblanket: At least they admit that, then. I don't enjoy IG, so I'm not on it.

Ｔｉｌｄｅ: Heh, me neither. I only have an SSO IG, cause I'd rather not look at the unrealistic standards for human beings, lol.

Ｔｉｌｄｅ: I tend to comment on their posts because they seem to reply frequently.

Fennec☆: I just look at art on IG because that's the only good stuff worth looking at there xD

Willow Deerblanket: It's not even that, my accounts always managed to get hacked by inappropriate people RIP.

Our updated Akhal-Teke is here! May 22, 2019
Hey StarFam! Today it’s time for us to release a much requested horse - the updated Akhal-Teke!
The graceful Akhal-Teke This unique beauty originates from Turkmenistan and is a very slim horse with extremely thin hair in its coat, which gives it an almost unbelievable shine. The Akhal-Teke is also known to have a very thin mane and tail, sometimes to the point where the mane can’t grow longer than a few centimeters.
The Akhal-Tekes of Jorvik have a unique shine to them - you won’t believe it until you see it!
Will one of these graceful horses join your StarFam? ★ What's the new breed? The updated Akhal-Teke!
★ Where can I get it? One horse is located in Fort Pinta while you find two more at the new horse market place at the Silverglade Vineyard.
★ How much does it cost? 850 Star Coins.
★ What level do I have to be? You can buy the horse in Fort Pinta right away, but you must have reached level 13 in order to get the other two horses.
★ Do I need to crunch reputation? Nope!
★ What colors can I choose from? A perlino, a buckskin and a sooty buckskin!
A brand new audio story! We have something very special to reveal - a FREE Star Stable audio story! This short story is called “Texas Bluebell” and revolves around our Soul Rider Lisa Peterson, who’s haunted by some terrible memories during a beautiful spring day out on a ride with Starshine.
This short story is the first in a series of stand-alone tales of Jorvik. More audio stories are on their way! As of right now, the audio story is available in English and Swedish only, but we’re looking into the possibility of translating it into more languages in the future.
Or click HERE for Swedish
What’s going on in Greendale? Riders passing through Greendale Forest have reported they’ve heard someone singing somewhere in the woods. Where is this music coming from? You better head out there to investigate!
To be able to play this mini quest, you must be a Star Rider and have completed the quest where you free Lisa from Pandoria.
New horse in Star Stable Horses! A very special North Swedish Horse foal has arrived to our free-to-download app Star Stable Horses! In Star Stable Horses, you can raise your very own horse from a baby foal up to a level 10 horse, ready to hit the Jorvik racing tracks with you as its rider. When this precious reaches level 10 in the app, you can transfer it to Star Stable Online for 749 Star Coins. The coat of this very special horse is called Texas Bluebell, and if you listen to the audio story by the same name you just might figure out why...
This special horse is not a Jorvik Wild Horse and will therefore not change its coat colors. This unique horse coat is available for a limited time only. Make sure you transfer it to Star Stable Online before July 1st if you want it to join your StarFam!
Coming NEXT WEEK! Next week we’re finally releasing Linda Chanda’s show jumping saddle! But that’s not all!! We are also releasing some matching bridles, a few saddle pads and leg wraps in new, fancy colors. Stay tuned!
Spirit is leaving soon! It’s almost time for Spirit to leave Jorvik! During the Wednesday Update on May 29, Spirit, along with the fangirls Tori and Sally in Fort Pinta, will leave Jorvik for good. If you’d like to befriend Spirit and invite him to stay in your home stable, make sure you do so before next Wednesday!
If you get Spirit before he leaves, he will stay in your home stable and you can ride him anytime you want. If you sell him, you will not be able to get him back. The same thing goes for the items from Tori and Sally’s shop in Fort Pinta!
If you have bought the Miradero apple but haven’t been able to give it to Spirit before he leaves, he will automatically appear in your stable after the update next Wednesday.
Horse Market The Horse Market is closed this week.
New Star Stable Launcher We’ve started rolling out a brand new launcher for the game, which some of you may have seen already! We’ll continue to release the launcher to more players as we make sure that it’s working just as it should.
For Mac users, there is one important technical change: the minimum system requirement will be changing from Mac OS 10.9 to Mac OS 10.10. Make sure your Mac is updated and you shouldn’t encounter any trouble!
We hope you all will have an awesome week until we meet again!
Hugs from your Star Stable Team ♥
