I keep see mixed feelings about the newer models. Some hate, some love which is to be expected but I thought I'd ask some questions to see more of a firm opinion about them.
So here are a few questions for you all regarding the newer models (I guess they're called Gen 3 models)
Things you like/don't like? Most/least Favorite? Any colors and colors you'd like to see on them? If there's an aspect you could change about them, what would it be?
I personally really enjoy the different models and personalities that associate with the breed brought into game. I really like the Lusitanos and the Clydesdales. I would live to see an all white/light grey Clydesdale and/or a silver buckskin or silver black Lusitano. As for What I could change about the Gen 3 models, simply more idle animations or even an alternating rearing animation.
Whats your take?

Probably seen me at a few Champs but nothing extraordinary.
Interesting topic! I decided to type some about each breed.
Horses I don't own: Akhal-Teke They are generally very pretty with shiny coat and fun mane and tail looks. I dislike them because of their necks, they are simply too long. I know it's exaggerated because it's a game and that they do have long necks for real, but they went too far. Rest of the horse is quite true to their breed. Their gaits are fine the canter is weird.
Jorvik Pony Can't comment too much on the pony. They look cute though. A lil fat, but cute and the gaits seem okay. Not a bad horse.
Horses I own: Andalusian These guys are quite nice, but. They look great overall, the dapple a bit better than the rest, but some of the other colors look a bit dull. While they look great they could have a better animations. The walk looks a bit odd. The trot looks too stiff like the horse is not relaxed, wish I could explain it better. The front legs in canter doesn't look as great as it could be. Rest is fine. I overall really like them but they do have some issues. Their exaggerated idle pose thing is weird, don't like. I really like them I don't know why.
Chincoteague Pony Oh boy, they are so special. They are cute but a bit over the top but at least they have some personality. Their trot is a bit strange but the rest of the movements are fine. I like them.
Clydesdale Not much to say about these lads. I generally like their looks and animations. They are a bit derpy, like the gallop and the rearing, but I don't mind it.
Connemara One of my favorites. They are great in most of animations, colors and general looks. The hind legs however tend to look a bit off here too, and the front legs at times look beefy. They come of as nice and relaxed in all the gaits though and I love it. The tail movement, the forelock and the nostrils, all cute.
Fjord Horse Another favorite. The Fjord horse has some issues but not a lot. What bothers me mostly is their color. They tried to make the hind end look like it has muscles, but it doesn't look great. I adore the long mane on them. I got the cremello one, it looks a lot better than the rest. The animations are on point though, love all of the gaits, their idle, their nostrils.
Jorvik Warmblood The new Jorvik Warmblood isn't bad at all. It looks great and it moves okay. The color variations are bit bothering me with their mirror coats. They are close to the original and has their own special look. The hind legs while walking looks weird but the rest is fine.
Lusitano My least favorite, surprise! They look so strange to me. Sort of lifeless. I own the dapple gray one from the app, it looks decent I suppose but what I can't stand are the animations of it moving in general. The hind end just looks so strange, stiff. Honestly looks like the horse is about to poop any minute. Reminds me of a horse doll, just stick the tail right into the hole.
North Swedish Horse My favorite horse breed irl. The nostrils flare, the mane is adorable and they look nice. The walk isn't the greatest and their slow gallop has some issues. But the rest really remind me of the breed.
Trakehner These guys are super cute and their colors are very pretty. In looks they are better than the Jorvik Warmblood. The walk is honestly a bit off and the trot is baaad. I know what they tried to emulate, but it doesn't come out right.
Some animations come off as lazy, like they had no time to make it great. The horses are getting better in looks but animations are hit and miss. I probably could explain some things better. Most horses are pretty good though, not many I don't like.
I agree more idles would be fun and I'm content with most colors.
EDIT: As much as I don't like the Lusitano, the jumping animation on it makes me giggle. It has different one for canter and for gallop. It's adorable.
rubyskywalker: They seem really pretty and I'll definitely get one sometime!

feliciawinterlord: I don't get why they don't remove the Morgan from the horse app if they need space. I kinda felt it was pointless that they added it in the first place, as its already in the game...and no one asked for it
Oct 8, 2019 8:05:22 GMT 10
rubyskywalker: True... it'd give another reason for more ppl to save/buy sc for one on the app. Another get it before it's gone... but longer than a month or so.

Fennec☆: Yeah, they shouldn't have added it in the first place. It was useless for me as I already had the horse in my stable before it even came on the app :,)

rubyskywalker: Where is the missing cat quest?
Oct 10, 2019 13:53:19 GMT 10
Anouk silentwolf: no calico maybe one day with more colors
Oct 11, 2019 7:52:06 GMT 10
Luna Autumndew: rubyskywalker In case you haven't seen it, you should see the missing cat quest immediately after you log on. If you leave the area you are logged on in, the cat quest disappears, so you'll have to relog to see it again.

Luna Autumndew: About the horse app, I don't think it really matters whether or not the Morgan is on the app. Even if they took the Morgan off the app for a different horse, SSO would still run into the issue of space.

Luna Autumndew: Hopefully since they are taking a lot of time with the mobile app (since people are *anxiously* waiting for the last Chincoteague and Andalusian), something "good" will come from it. (The last batch of the Chincoteague came out on April 24 for reference.)

dragonfire: Do you know EXACTLY where the B-day Race in/around Jorvik Stables is at? I can't find it anywhere! Never mind. Finally found it. it is between the Stables & the Milk Cows!

The Akhal-Tekes of Jorvik have a unique shine to them - you won’t believe it until you see it!

★ How much does it cost? 850 Star Coins.
★ What level do I have to be? You can buy the horse in Fort Pinta right away, but you must have reached level 13 in order to get the other two horses.
★ Do I need to crunch reputation? Nope!
★ What colors can I choose from? A perlino, a buckskin and a sooty buckskin!
A brand new audio story! We have something very special to reveal - a FREE Star Stable audio story! This short story is called “Texas Bluebell” and revolves around our Soul Rider Lisa Peterson, who’s haunted by some terrible memories during a beautiful spring day out on a ride with Starshine.
This short story is the first in a series of stand-alone tales of Jorvik. More audio stories are on their way! As of right now, the audio story is available in English and Swedish only, but we’re looking into the possibility of translating it into more languages in the future.
Or click HERE for Swedish
What’s going on in Greendale? Riders passing through Greendale Forest have reported they’ve heard someone singing somewhere in the woods. Where is this music coming from? You better head out there to investigate!
To be able to play this mini quest, you must be a Star Rider and have completed the quest where you free Lisa from Pandoria.
New horse in Star Stable Horses! A very special North Swedish Horse foal has arrived to our free-to-download app Star Stable Horses! In Star Stable Horses, you can raise your very own horse from a baby foal up to a level 10 horse, ready to hit the Jorvik racing tracks with you as its rider. When this precious reaches level 10 in the app, you can transfer it to Star Stable Online for 749 Star Coins. The coat of this very special horse is called Texas Bluebell, and if you listen to the audio story by the same name you just might figure out why...
This special horse is not a Jorvik Wild Horse and will therefore not change its coat colors. This unique horse coat is available for a limited time only. Make sure you transfer it to Star Stable Online before July 1st if you want it to join your StarFam!
Coming NEXT WEEK! Next week we’re finally releasing Linda Chanda’s show jumping saddle! But that’s not all!! We are also releasing some matching bridles, a few saddle pads and leg wraps in new, fancy colors. Stay tuned!
Spirit is leaving soon! It’s almost time for Spirit to leave Jorvik! During the Wednesday Update on May 29, Spirit, along with the fangirls Tori and Sally in Fort Pinta, will leave Jorvik for good. If you’d like to befriend Spirit and invite him to stay in your home stable, make sure you do so before next Wednesday!
If you get Spirit before he leaves, he will stay in your home stable and you can ride him anytime you want. If you sell him, you will not be able to get him back. The same thing goes for the items from Tori and Sally’s shop in Fort Pinta!
If you have bought the Miradero apple but haven’t been able to give it to Spirit before he leaves, he will automatically appear in your stable after the update next Wednesday.
Horse Market The Horse Market is closed this week.
New Star Stable Launcher We’ve started rolling out a brand new launcher for the game, which some of you may have seen already! We’ll continue to release the launcher to more players as we make sure that it’s working just as it should.
For Mac users, there is one important technical change: the minimum system requirement will be changing from Mac OS 10.9 to Mac OS 10.10. Make sure your Mac is updated and you shouldn’t encounter any trouble!
We hope you all will have an awesome week until we meet again!
Hugs from your Star Stable Team ♥
